Released six months after Dangerous Liaisons, Valmont could not escape the comparison, and necessarily suffer. The Dangerous Liaisons are the costumes, the actors and the pressure to capture the hardness of an Eighteenth-century debauchee, and at the dawn of the French Revolution. Apart from this, Valmont is more of a entertainment sweet, like the Marie-Antoinette of Sofia Coppola, an adaptation is extremely faithful to the contemporary novel of the time of Laclos. But unlike the film of Sofia Coppola, the caricature is unintentional and leans more in the vein of historical movies sauce Hollywood where the teeth of the actors are white and well-aligned, the clothes always impeccable and the rooms lighted as in full sun, while three miserable candles finish burning. I have nothing to say, this movie is a masterpiece! This is just for mêttre 5stars and if I had been able in order to receive the second 1000 I would have done.. The treatment of "The IDEA" is very heavy. The story of the fable is not " removed ". Weighing. wonderful movie to watch again and again, for the freedom! and for Robin williams, a moment of great pleasure! I said that I haven't read the book, I am terribly bored, the actors are bad, the texts absolutely naive and ridiculous, inconsistencies here and there, short of bad cinema! Regarding the collector's edition bluray, the case is of type G2, therefore, size dvd, Mouai super in the library with the bluray smaller. The picture and sound are at the top. The pencil, why do you it is not printed like in the movie???? and for the long version, then it touches the bottom, at the same time it was not far away... 3 images cobbled together that adds absolutely nothing to the film! The trio of Gene Kelly, Donald O'connor and Debbie Reynolds is great, and the first two are breathtaking in various passages danced in the film.
